The SPECIAL ORDER !!
We all love food!! That's why I started writing my blog because I wanted a way to share and express what I was feeling and experiencing .
There are those times though where we have a not so great experience , like an undercooked or overcooked steak, way too salty pasta, burnt pizza or cake that was probably made yesterday.
As a chef I'm always weary to complain and wouldn't dare send my food back to be changed, because we've all heard of the "SPECIAL ORDER"
So the scenario is I send my food back and the chef has fire and flames in his or her eyes because how dare would anyone question my cooking ability and because you know chefs are always right.
So here I am to set the record straight, well for myself at least. We as chefs are passionate about food and treat ingredients with the utmost respect and most sanitary conditions so I would hope that no one would ever do that to you.
In the Culinary world though which is a very temperamental one you should always appreciate the art that goes into making a "GREAT" plate of food.
Although now that I think about it that pasta I sent back that one time did come back tasting a little funny!!
