Ive always thought peas were weird and silly and she knew that
Inspiration comes in many forms, a quote, a deed, a happy vibe or song or a simple pat on the back.
I think for many of us however inspiration comes in the form of a person whether it's someone famous or someone close to us we tend to admire and look up to people , the unsung heroes that make us want to do better, strive for more.
My passion was ignited as child when I saw the amazing things my Mom could do with food, granted she can't bake to save her life but she's really good at cooking.
Whether it was making lunches for school or dinner time at home she could always make something out of literally nothing.
She could make a whole meal out of dhal curry and boiled eggs.
I felt like food was a way to comfort people, to make them feel happier, more alive and fulfilled.
And ofcourse food is at the centre of everything, celebrations, sadness, heartbreak, nothing comforts like food does.
One of my fondest memories is going to the grocery store, up till today I don't have a love of shopping for clothes but I'd rather have a big trolley to fill with food or household appliances. I take great pleasure in being able to make people happy with food. My mom has always taught us that food should be at the centre of everything whether its a family gathering or a Sunday afternoon lunch or simply a snack in the middle of the day you can make it meaningful and delicious.
My nephew loves these bread sticks with cheese on them and my mom always makes sure that they are there when they come and my niece has an infatuation with cookies so those are always available for her to my sister's detriment for the sugar rush they will get from all these sweet things.
I think the world needs more people who look at ways to make people happy and excited about life and food and create an environment of love and peace.
